The Owasso Police Department released the following statement on today’s call of a home robbery and assault:
On June 18th, 2014 at 12:00 PM, Owasso Officers were dispatched to a reported burglary in progress/stabbing at a residence near E 8
9 ST N and N 140 E AVE. The female caller reported that she had come home to find an unknown person inside her house. The victim reported that the intruder allegedly stabbed her with a knife as he/she fled the residence. The alleged victim was transported from the scene via ambulance suffering from very superficial scratches to her arm and leg.
The alleged suspect was not located in the area upon the officers’ arrival and there are early indications that this event may not have actually occurred. Despite initial appearances, Owasso Detectives will continue to investigate until the circumstances surrounding the incident are completely established.
The victim was unable to provide any type of description for the suspect.
