STARK, RAYMOND A, of Owasso, OK, formerly of Bloomington and Prior Lake, MN. Our amazing Ray was called home on July 19th, 2018 at the age of 77. His soul left our world for paradise. He braved a valiant and determined battle against acute myeloid leukemia. We will miss him deeply, but we will not be mourners. We will be ‘rememberer’s. His spirit will be our constant companion. We will truly miss his contagious laugh, his twinkling eyes, and his outrageous practical jokes.
Welcoming Ray home is his infant son Raymond, Jr., along with his parents Ray and Dorothy. Ray is survived by his beloved wife Kim (nee Noel), adored children Shelley (Charlie) Wade, Steven Stark, Kristina (John) Kop, grandchildren Amber, Corey, Kelsey, Sara, Tessa, Mara, Johnathon, Katie, Sam, and great-granddaughter Emma. Ray is also survived in-laws Vicky and Kevin Turner, Denise and Mike Lorenz, J. and Tammy Noel, Mary Noel-Hennes, mother-in-law Grace Noel, and aunt Lois Bischof. We owe a debt of gratitude to the staff at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa for their unfailing care. Glory to God for allowing Ray to enjoy great quality-of-life until he reached the 19th hole.
A celebration of Ray’s life will be held on his birthday, August 23rd, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Wilds in Prior Lake, MN. Please dress casually. Memorials preferred to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
