Celebrate Owasso’s Main Street coming to life at The Gathering on Main on Thursday, October 3, 2013. From 6pm to 9pm.Owasso comes together in a street festival environment for the entire community. The festival provides a safe and enjoyable event for all ages as a portion of Main Street is blocked from the flow of traffic for an evening of music, art, food and fun for the entire family.
This months event has a reality TV flare. On the Ferguson Main Stage, Todd Kessler, who was part of team Celo on season 3 of The Voice, along with his band The New Folk, will headline. Owasso’s own Kayden Stephenson, who appeared on American Idol will perform an opening number before Todd hits the stage.
The Bailey Medical Center Kids Zone is a free area for children to play in bounce houses, take a shot in the indoor paintball shooting range and much more. Over a dozen food trucks and 60 vendors have signed up to line the streets with their goods and services. Wienie Dog Races sponsored by Owasso Coney I-lander will be a feature at this months event. Owasso Indian Education Dancers will put on a short performance as well.
An estimated 6,500 people attended the September Gathering event to sample a variety of food from local vendors and food trucks, shop for unique quality items from local artisans, visit the kids’ zone and watch live street performers on multiple stages. Each month, a high energy, live musical performance sets the tone for the event from the main stage along Owasso’s historic Main Street.
