RCS elementary football team wins championship
Rejoice Christian Schools’ 3rd Grade and 4th Grade Football team won the championship game on Saturday, Nov. 8. The team played in the Central Football League and competed in the 3rd/4th division. The tackle football team defeated Morris in the championship game with an 18-7 score, and their season record was 8-2. The following students are on the RCS 3rd Grade and 4th Grade Football Team: Cyrus Kornegay, Logan Greenwood, Jay Miller, Jaron Foote, Kaden Piché, Conner Shaw, Alex Clarke, Conner McMullin, Daniel Dimick,Colby Thomas, Xander McMullin, Blake Reynolds, Dalton Close, Tyler Hannawalt and Conner Tallon. The team’s head coach is Chance Kornegay, and coaching assistants are T.J. Foote, Stan Miller and David Piché.
During the football season, the RCS 3rd Grade and 4th Grade Cheer Team attended every game and supported the Eagles. The following students are on the RCS 3rd Grade and 4th Grade Cheer Team: Kylie Barton, Kate Breese, Katelyn Burger, Danika Delouche, Brenda Mack, Taylor Philpott, Madeline Roberts, Kamille Robinson, Abby Cole, Finley Fisher, Allison Page, Claire Reimer and Kayleigh Weare. The cheer coaches are Chasity Barton and Trisha Barton, and the cheer coaching assistant is Avery Miler.
