Duo bringing acoustic performance to The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. – Grammy Award-winning artists Rick Springfield and Richard Marx are unplugging and bringing their acoustic series to The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Oct. 8.
Tickets start at $39 and go on sale Aug. 10.
The pair will perform full interactive acoustic sets, giving fans an up close and personal experience as they take an intimate look at the stories behind their favorite songs.
Springfield, an iconic singer, songwriter and musician, has sold more than 25 million albums, including 17 U.S. Top 40 hits like “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody” and “Human Touch.”
Also well-known as an actor, Springfield most recently starred opposite Meryl Streep in the feature film “Ricki and the Flash.” Many will remember him for his role as Dr. Pitlor in HBO’s prestige drama “True Detective” and for earning great reviews for his portrayal of Lucifer during this season on the CW hit “Supernatural.” Springfield was honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2014.
During a nearly three decade-long career, Richard Marx has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. He’s best known for hits like “Hold On To the Nights,” “Don’t Mean Nothing,” “Right Here Waiting” and “Hazard.”
Marx is the only male artist to have his first seven singles reach the Top 5 on the Billboard charts.
Following his successful career as a performer, he launched a second phase as a songwriter and producer. Marx has earned 14 No. 1 singles across all genres, as both a singer and songwriter. He has authored songs for Josh Groban, Luther Vandross, Jennifer Nettles, Keith Urban, Sara Bareilles and Vince Gill.
