Robert Lynn Perritt was born February 16, 1948 in Jacksonville, Texas. He passed from this life to his heavenly home on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at his home in Oologah, OK. The son of R.T. and Betty (Powell) Perritt, he spent his early years in Cavanaugh, Arkansas before the family moved to Marlow, OK where he completed his education, graduating from Marlow High School. In March of 1969, Robert and Vicki Dibrell were united in marriage. To this union, two children were born. While in his third year of college at the Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp, serving in Vietnam. Upon returning from his military service, he and Vicki made their home in Oklahoma City before moving to Cavanaugh, AR. They later made their home in Tulsa for 22 years before moving to Houston, TX. They have made their home in Oologah since June of 2016. Robert had been involved in the ministry all of his life, serving as a minister of music and youth. During his earlier years, he was a member of the Lion’s Club; but was always involved in different ministry programs. Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman, but faith and family, especially his grandchildren were always his priority.
Those that survive include his wife of 47 years – Vicki; his children – Brandi Michelle Franks and husband Bobby of Conroe, TX and Robert (Bobby) Charles Perritt and wife Sarai of Oologah, OK; his grandchildren – Bailey Thomas and Bryce Anthony Perritt both of Oologah and Noah Robert, Makenna Lynn, Gracie Mae and Alyse Ruvae Franks, all of Conroe, TX. Also surviving are two brothers Mark Perritt and wife Brenda of Fayetteville, AR and Lance Perritt and wife Connie of Cement, OK; as well as eight nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Ruthann Wright.
Funeral services for Robert will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in the sanctuary of the Harbor Church in Oologah with Pastor Brett Rogers officiating. Burial with military honors accorded by the U.S. Marine Corp will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Oologah. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday, October 17th at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso.
