Comedian brings stand-up comedy to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. – Funnyman Ron White is bringing his comedic tales and observations to The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on July 25.
Tickets start at $60 and go on sale May 28.
A stand-up veteran of nearly 30 years, White broke through as part of the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” from 2000-2003. The tour, also featuring Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall, sold out 90 dates, grossed more than $15 million and resulted in the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie,” which became the highest-rated movie on Comedy Channel when it premiered.
In 2003, White released his breakthrough comedy CD, “Drunk In Public,” followed by his first one-hour television comedy special, “They Call Me Tater Salad.” The special had the highest viewership for a Sunday program in Comedy Central history. The DVD version was released in 2004 and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart.
Following was the comedian’s second one-hour special, “You Can’t Fix Stupid,” which earned White his first Grammy nomination.
In June 2006, Penguin Books released White’s first book, “Ron ‘Tater Salad’ White: I Had the Right to Remain Silent…But I Didn’t Have the Ability,” which landed him on the New York Times Best Seller List.
White’s third album, “Behavioral Problems,” was released in 2009 and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. White’s most recent work is 2013’s “A Little Unprofessional,” which also reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Comedy Chart.
