Sabra Anjanette DeJournett, resident of Collinsville and Owasso, passed from this life on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the age of 41 years. Sabra was born February 8, 1974, in Tulsa to Charles Willis and Jo Rita (Jodi) Jones DeJournett. She was raised and received her education in Owasso. Sabra enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting mushrooms with her boyfriend. Family was always a priority for her. Sabra was currently working as a waitress at Mom’s Diner in Collinsville.
Those that survive and hold cherished memories are her mother & step father: Jodi and Ron Brown of Collinsville; two sons: Stratten DeJournett of Sapulpa and Devyn DeJournett of Sand Springs; her longtime boyfriend John Nichols of Claremore; three step brothers Ron Brown and wife Jaylene of Owasso, Michael D. Brown and wife Teresea of Talala and Monte Brown and wife Pamela of Owasso. Also surviving is her six-week old granddaughter Paisley Cheyenne DeJournett. Sabra was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2015, in the Chapel of Mowery Funeral Service. Visitation for Sabra will be Wednesday, April 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those that would like to honor Sabra’s memory, may do so by contributing to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Heart Association or to a charity of the giver’s choice.
