Sarah Marie JoyceSarah Marie Joyce was born September 5, 1968, at Lockbourne AFB, Ohio, to Lambert John Geerlings and Helen Marie Wilson Geerlings. She passed from this life Friday, September 15, 2023, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 55 years. After completion of high school, Sarah attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. She was married October 12, 1991, in Owasso, Oklahoma, to Martin W. “Marty” Joyce. Most recently, she served as the Life Enrichment Director with Baptist Village of Owasso where she enjoyed loving on the residents and staff. Sarah was a strong woman of faith and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Owasso. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including cooking, puzzles, and reading.

Children; Andrew Joyce, Durham, North Carolina
Brian Joyce and wife Susan, Marietta, Georgia
Caleb Joyce, Owasso
Brother; Matthew Geerlings
Father; Lambert Geerlings
Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Geerlings
 
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Celebration of Life services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2023, at the Alsup Chapel at Baptist Village, and 2:00 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Sarah’s name to Life Enrichment of Baptist Village, 12600 East 73rd Street North, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055.
