SherylCrowGrammy winner to play The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. – Sheryl Crow is free-spirited, passionate and fearless. She’s a cancer survivor who achieved fame as a pop-rock artist and has since evolved her sound to incorporate country, all while maintaining her status for the last two decades as one of the world’s most popular female musicians.

On June 21, she will perform at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa. Tickets start at $60 and go on sale April 11.

Before becoming a household name as a solo performer, Crow started out recording jingles for McDonald’s and Toyota commercials. She moved on to become a backup vocalist for Michael Jackson on his Bad World Tour and in the studio for musicians including Belinda Carlisle and Stevie Wonder.

Crow’s 1993 debut, “Tuesday Night Music Club,” slowly gained attention until the 1994 release of the single “All I Wanna Do” instantly exploded in popularity, giving the album new life. It went platinum seven times and also featured the hit single “Strong Enough.” Her debut earned Grammys for Record of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best New Artist.

To date, she has released seven studio albums that have sold more than 35 million copies worldwide and earned nine Grammys. She has recorded numerous hit singles, including “If It Makes You Happy,” “Everyday Is A Winding Road,” “Soak Up The Sun,” the Cat Stevens’ cover “The First Cut Is The Deepest,” the Sting duet “Always On Your Side” and the Kid Rock duet “Picture.”

Crow’s career came to a temporary halt in 2006 when she was successfully treated for breast cancer after undergoing “minimally invasive” surgery and radiation treatment. She returned to the studio in 2008 and recorded “Detours,” which was inspired by many life-changing events during the previous three years, including the first of two adoptions.

The Kennett, Mo., native recently finished recording her first country album, which is slated for release later this year. The lead single, “Easy,” was released on March 12.

Crow is a passionate supporter of a variety of environmental and health-related charities, including the National Resources Defense Council, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and The World Food Program. Last year saw the opening of the Sheryl Crow Imaging Center in the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Los Angeles.
