Sonya Lynn Boggs was born June 12, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to James Albert “Bud” and Jennie Lynn Salyers Quinalty. She died Sunday, June 3, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 54 years. Sonya attended Owasso High School in Owasso, Oklahoma. She spent many years working with Trails End BBQ in Owasso before joining the City of Owasso as their storm water vegetation supervisor. She was married February 11, 2006, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to Harold Boggs. They had made their home together since that time in Talala, Oklahoma. Sonya enjoyed a variety of pastimes including spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, and camping. She also enjoyed her time riding her Harley Davidson out on the road. She especially enjoyed her grandkids and cherished her role as “Nanny.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Dakota Boggs.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Rodney Ray officiating. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Turner and Boggs Suicide Awareness Foundation, 5840 East 330 Road, Talala, OK 74080. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
