07/12/2017 – When area Scout Jordan Lagorce heard about a vandalism that rendered a church playground unusable, he decided to do something about it.
Sperry First Baptist Church was recently the victim of vandalism, damaging the playground equipment at their location. Jordan decided to help by making the restoration of the playground his Eagle Scout project. When restoration is complete, it has been approved for Jordan to receive his rank of Eagle. He is collecting supplies and working on the equipment to bring it back to life.
John Curry, Owasso Cubmaster of Pack 897 found out about the project, and tells us that Owasso is also providing labor from adults and boys to help Mr. Lagorce complete his project. They met Tuesday evening to finish staining the wood so the kids can begin playing on it again by Sunday services.
If you have any supplies that might help Jordan with the restoration, you may contact him at (918) 845-2929.
