Throughout the month of March, universities and high schools across the state, will be letting out for Spring Break.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol wants to remind students of the dangers of drinking and driving.
Many students will be traveling by vehicle to different party locations.
The Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies will be working to remove drunk drivers from the road.
Educating students of the dangers of consuming alcohol and getting behind the wheel of a vehicle is one of the best ways to avoid a potential fatal accident.

Drinking and driving is a deadly combination which can affect many young men and women. The number one cause of death of college-aged students is motor vehicle crashes with nearly 30 percent involving alcohol.
Things to consider to help keep you safe during your Spring Break:
1. No matter how much you drink, never drive.
2. Don’t let anyone get behind the wheel of a vehicle if they have been drinking. (Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Drunk)
3. Always have a designated driver or find alternative options to travel.
4. Have a plan before you go out so you can make it home safe.
