Update 05/20/2015 12:29:27 : The alleged shooter from the incident at Brookwood Apartments on 05/18/2015 has been identified as Sean Askey, age 26, of Owasso.
Due to the complicated nature of this event, the active investigation will likely continue for an extended period of time before completion and submission to the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office. Based on the investigation findings, prosecutors will then determine if criminal charges are warranted against Mr. Askey.
The victim of the shooting at the Brookwood Apartments in Owasso has been identified as Robert D. Sapp, age 28.
On the morning of 05/19/2015, Sapp succumbed to his injuries and died at St. John Hospital in Tulsa.
The Tulsa County Medical Examiner’s Office took possession of the victim and an autopsy is pending.
The investigation by the Owasso Police Department is still ongoing.
