Ted Ray “Teddy” Gaffney, son of Rick and Teresa Kay Gaffney of Owasso, went home to the Lord following a motorcycle accident on Sunday, August 2, 2015. He was born June 12, 1987 in Tulsa to Rick Ray and Teresa Kay (Stites) Gaffney. Ted was raised in Owasso, and was currently employed for Son Set Consultants in Owasso as a Metallurgist in the Test Lab and on weekends was the doorman for Arnie’s Bar in the Blue Dome District of Downtown Tulsa. Ted had a variety of hobbies, including video gaming, dancing, going to movies, hanging with friends and working on and riding his Harley.
Ted is survived by his parents of Owasso; brothers Jason L. Cornett of Inola, OK, Drew A. Cornett of Owasso, Ricky Gaffney of Muskogee and Robert Gaffney of California; and a sister Brandy Dawn Wilson of Jenks, OK. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Mowery Funeral Service with Rev. Barnes Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, Owasso. There will be a visitation for family and friends on Wednesday evening from 4-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family will be gratefully accepting donations to offset Ted’s funeral expenses. They may be mailed to PO Box 1536, Owasso, OK 74005.
