The Owasso Bouquet of Gardeners was founded in 1998 by a group of women dedicated to beautify the gardens of Owasso. They have concentrated most of their efforts at the Tulsa City County Library- Owasso Branch, located on Main Street in Owasso. They have also planted a plentiful vegetable garden at the Owasso Community Center, providing a fresh harvest for its members. The Owasso Bouquet of Gardeners have taken their efforts a step further and have donated a sculpture to the City of Owasso, Timmy and Cindy Project, to honor all of their volunteers, past, present and future. This beautiful bronze sculpture of a little girl, holding a watering can, is on display at the Tulsa City County Library – Owasso Branch, on Main Street in Owasso.
The Timmy and Cindy Project is a public arts initiative that utilizes bronze castings of an active young boy and/or girl. The castings are placed at strategic locations throughout the community on public property.
The program began in the spring of 2004 with 14 castings placed at 14 different sites. Today we have over 35 castings throughout the City of Owasso.
