Thomas Alvin Hufford was born July 14, 1928, in Portage, Pennsylvania, to Thomas Filbert and Elizabeth Wilt Hufford. He died Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years. Thomas was reared and educated in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and was a graduated of Altoona High School. He continued his education at Mississippi State University earning his Bachelor’s Degree in industrial arts. Thomas was married June 16, 1956, in Altoona to Verna Consalvo. They had made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, in 1994. He spent much of his working life as a foreman with TRW. He was an active member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and the Owasso VFW Post #7180. Thomas enjoyed a variety of pastimes including woodworking and traveling to spend time at his cottage in Canada.

Sister-in-law; Elizabeth Hufford, of Duncansville, Pennsylvania
His pride and joy, Buddy, his Australian Blue Heeler.
And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Eileen Royer and Bernadine Patterson, and a brother, James Hufford.
A Rosary service will be held 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2018, at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Owasso with a viewing and visitation time with family one hour prior to service. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 Monday, February 5, 2018, at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Matt LaChance officiating. Thomas will then be transported overland to Altoona, Pennsylvania, and interred in his final resting place at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
