Truman Altas Body, Jr. was born March 29, 1949, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Truman Altas, Sr. and Velma Clarrisa Jones Body. He died Saturday, August 3, 2019, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years. Truman completed his secondary education in Tulsa where he attended Central High School. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country in the United States Army as wireman during the Vietnam War. He spent much of his working life as a cook. Truman was married April 19, 2014, in Tulsa to Drusilla Foreman. They were faithful members of New Degree Praise Center in Tulsa. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including coloring penciled art and watching old Western movies. He was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law; Amber Foreman, Father-in-law; and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Geneva Foreman.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2019, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2019, at the New Degree Praise Center in Tulsa with Bishop Q.L. Bell, Pastor Donnell McBee and Pastor Mac Jackson officiating.
