3 Ways to Save Time During the Back to School Rush
School is here! We’ve bought the school supplies, the clothes and the shoes and now it is time to get back into the routine. The problem? Getting back into the routine. I don’t know about you but the back to school rush kills me every year. This year, I’m determined to be organized and on time! Check out these tips below and let’s kick this year off on the right foot:
1. Snack Bags: This is a GREAT idea that will help you save both time and money. When you buy the large container of goldfish, go ahead and portion it out into snack bags and store those in your pantry instead of the big box. Then, you can simply grab a bag and place it in the lunchbox in half the time. This is especially handy if you wake up and realize you forgot to pack lunches the night before.
2. Get Ready the Night Before: Right now, you’re saying “duh.” I get that but, this step is a big deal. Get all the clothing out and ready the night before, along with the backpacks, homework and anything else that needs to be ready go. If you have one of those “we only have 10 minutes to get to school” moments, you’ll be happy you did this. Time will be saved and so will the arguments if the kids clothes are already out and prepared.
3. Get Yourself Ready First: Get up early and get going before the rest. If you’re ready by the time the kids get up, then you’ll be able to focus solely on the children. This will save you time and stress plus, if you get up just an extra 20 minutes early, you can even have a little quiet time before you start your day. Can you imagine that? Quiet time! Who knew?
These tips should make for a more smooth morning rush, a routine is always a good thing!
