With Christmas just weeks away, it’s not too early to begin making your list and checking it twice.
The United Way of Rogers and Mayes Counties has the perfect “shopportunity” for you, the Seventh Annual Holiday Boutique, November 12, 13, and 14 at Rogers State University’s Centennial Center.
“If getting all of your Christmas shopping done in one location, all in one weekend, and all for a good cause appeals to you, this is the place to be,” said Angela Henderson, Holiday Boutique committee member. The Holiday Boutique benefits the member agencies of the UWRMC, which serves neighbors in need throughout Rogers and Mayes Counties.
Best of all, the Holiday Boutique is a one-stop shop for holiday gift-giving.
“Men typically don’t think of this event as being for them, but this is a perfect place for guys to find that special gift any lady would love to have,” Henderson said. She said that wish lists will be available to ladies who shop the event and the lists will be kept at the registration desk.
“Since tickets are good for both days, she can simply hand her ticket off to him and he can arrive later to shop for her,” she said.
More than 25 vendors will be set up, selling everything from jewelry to painted furniture and home décor, children’s toys and books to clothing. Vendors include: J&J Pharmacy and Gifts, Knits N’ Purls by Stephanie, the Cozy Cottage, Oklahoma Christian Authors, Iris Frog, Vintique Charm, Grayslland Acres, Image Rehab, Burlap Closet, Wild Prairie Bloom, Crystal Pistols, Tiffany’s Gifts, Pastamore, Angels LaBoutique, Sixth Day Decals, Jewel Scent, Skrappie Happy, Roark Acres Honey, Lilla Rose, Rhapsody Faith and Fashion, This Old Belt, Valerian’s Vintage Christmas Decor, and much more.
The Holiday Boutique kicks off Thursday, November 12 with a VIP Shopping Event from 5-8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are limited to the first 100 shoppers. Appetizers, punch, and coffee will be served and wine will be available at a cash bar.
“The VIP Shopping Event is an exclusive way to pre-shop the Holiday Boutique and to have a night out with girlfriends,” Henderson said. Tickets are limited and not sold at the door, so shoppers are encouraged to call ahead for a VIP ticket.
General admission shopping begins Friday, November 13 from 12 noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday, November 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. General admission tickets are $5 and get you in the doors both Friday and Saturday. Tickets for this event will be available at the door, or are available in advance from any United Way agency.
