Vera Frances Woodson was born January 20, 1938, in Milton, Oklahoma, to James Henry and Grace (May) Barnett. She died Thursday, October 22, 2015, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years. Vera was married March 6, 1964, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Eldon Woodson. She spent much of her working life as a homemaker and caring for her family. Vera was a longtime faithful member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Collinsville and enjoyed spending time reading the Bible. She also enjoyed gardening, baking and bird watching. Even more special was being with and taking care of her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Woodson, twin daughters, and three brothers, Hershel Barnett, Jim Barnett, and Robert Barnett.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015, at Maranatha Baptist Church in Collinsville with Pastor Don Moseby officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Dustin Woodson, Derek Woodson, Brett Utry, Steven Allen, Kyle Coble, and Trae Hamilton. Honorary casket bearers will be Danny Woodson and A. J. Woodson. Committal services and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
