The Owasso Golden Agers is the service arm of the adult program at the Owasso Community Center. “Keeping Young – While Growing Older” is their motto. The group fosters an environment in which volunteers feel welcome and appreciated. Volunteers exemplify the generous spirit of unselfish giving. The program relies on the generosity of volunteers to assist with daily routine assistance to successfully provide services to the seniors within our community.
A flexible schedule is available to enable volunteers to sign-up for times that will fit within their schedule.
Senior Nutrition Lunch Volunteers
Mon.-Thu., 10:45-11:45
The Golden Agers has partnered with a senior nutrition program to provide lunch for senior’s 60 years or older at the Community Center. Lunch is provided Mon. – Thu. at 11:00 AM. Volunteers are needed to serve the prepared lunch as well as clean the kitchen and dining area afterwards.
Senior Transportation
Mon-Fri., – Shift 1 – 8:15-9:30, Shift 2 – 12:00-1:00
Transportation to and from the center is provided for seniors 60 years or older. We are seeking to find volunteer drivers with a clean driving record, valid Oklahoma driver’s license and active insurance verification.
