Wanda Frances WadlowWanda Frances Wadlow was born July 15, 1928, in McCune, Kansas, to Leo Frank Long and Lydia Olivia Wells Long. She died Sunday, March 26, 2023 in Carrollton, Texas, at the age of 94 years. Wanda completed her secondary education graduating from McCune High School in 1946. She moved to Kansas City, Kansas, where she attended business school graduating in 1948. She was married February 18, 1950, in McCune, Kansas, to William Jennings Walker. They made their homes in Coffeyville, Kansas, and later Chicago, Illinois. Following her husband’s death in 1966, she moved her young family to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to be closer to relatives. She married Kenneth Clifford Wadlow in 1972 and moved to Collinsville, Oklahoma, and later they moved to Baptist Village in Owasso, Oklahoma. Wanda worked for Texaco in the geophysical services department until her retirement. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso until her move to Carrollton, Texas, in 2009. She enjoyed her Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) group in Tulsa. Wanda enjoyed traveling extensively around the world. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including reading, cross stitching, and quilting.

Hunter Walker, of Carrollton, Texas
Cameron Walker-Spell and husband Micah, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Six great grandchildren
Brother; Bill Metcalf and wife Carole, of Houston, Texas
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, William Walker and Kenneth Wadlow, brother, Frank Metcalf, and sister, Maxine Lynam.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2023, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Chad Balthrop officiating. Her final resting place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Wanda’s memory to the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, 12700 East 76th Street North, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055, or the Adams Fund—Owasso Baptist Village, 7410 North 127th East Avenue, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
