08/03/2020 – Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, tensions are high for most everyone, and the resulting stress can take its toll on a person, physically and mentally.
Instead of turning to binge eating or other unhealthy coping mechanisms that will only exacerbate the problem, consider a healthier alternative—reflexology at Well Being LLC.
Reflexology—also known as zone therapy—is the application of pressure to areas on the feet or hands. The theory behind reflexology is that areas of the foot correspond to organs and systems of the body. “Pressure applied to the foot is believed to bring relaxation and healing to the corresponding area of the body” according to the Mayo Clinic.
Well Being owner/reflexologist Dasha Allen further explains, “Reflexologists can feel tender, sensitive or crunchy sensations on the feet, and that can indicate that an area of your body is out of balance. By pressing the points and working them with gentle pressure, it will kickstart your body’s natural healing powers, improve blood circulation and energy, relieve stress, back pain, shoulder pain, tension, headaches and more.
“I offer homeopathic remedies, American Shaman CBD oils and Lifewave self-adhesive stem cell patches,” Dasha says, “which when applied at specific points in the body can gently stimulate those points to improve the flow of energy, improving body aches and headache, improving sleep and increasing energy.”
Dasha also offers Biofeedback with the Indigo Biofeedback system, which establishes communication with the body about its most acute and chronic conditions or needs and attempts to balance or correct these stressors with focused energetic training.
Additional therapies include Reiki healing session/balancing chakras/life coaching, ionic foot bath detox, reflexology cupping and Ayurveda Kansa Wand.
With 30 years of experience in reflexology, Dasha moved to the U.S. from Europe 22 years ago. She’s lived in Sarasota, Florida, and Fayetteville, Arkansas. Five years ago, she moved to Owasso and immediately fell in love with the city. She knew she wanted to offer her expertise to Owasso residents, affording them reflexology and alternative therapies without driving to Tulsa.
“I had a great opportunity to open my business in 2016,” she says. “Our kids go to the school in Owasso, and we love how small and friendly it is, even how very fast-growing Owasso is. People here are very nice and help each other with any needs—it’s like one big family.”
And Dasha loves helping Owasso residents maintain balance in their mind, body and soul.
“Although each of us at one time or another suffers from an imbalance that affects us, nature’s way is to seek balance in a quick and appropriate manner,” she explains. “Holistic treatment is designed to help achieve that balance. Nothing makes me happier than seeing clients achieve a better quality of life and increase happiness, and then return or recommend my services to their friends and family.”
