Willodene Stephens was born November 28, 1935, in Campbellton, Florida, to Hugh and Verna Willis Dollar. She died Saturday, May 23, 2020, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years. Willodene was reared and educated in Campbellton, Florida, and was a graduate of Campbellton High School. She was married June 7, 1953, in Dothan, Alabama, to Gale Stephens. They had made their home in Owasso where she spent most of her life as a homemaker and caring for her family. She was a longtime faithful member of Rejoice Free Will Baptist Church in Owasso. Willodene enjoyed a variety of pastimes including sewing and jewelry collecting. She enjoyed sports and was a fan of the Texas Rangers but was an avid fan of the Owasso Rams. She particularly enjoyed her role of “Grandma” to her grandchildren.

Martha, Jojo, Avery, Nolan, and Blake

Sisters; Pam McLaney, Wanda Chaney, and Faye Smith
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Verna Dollar, and her husband, Gale Stephens.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2020, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Kale Stephens, Eric Payne, Randy Pope, and Paul Martinez. Committal service and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
