At approximately 10:30 pm Sunday evening, Owasso Police were alerted to someone driving recklessly, at high speeds, westbound on 86th Street North.
Before officers arrived to the area, dispatchers received other calls that the suspect car had crashed into a pole at 86th Street North and Mingo. Callers stated the car was on its side, and on fire. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle but fled on foot before officers arrived. Witnesses stated the driver had run on to the golf course on the south side of 86th Street.
After a short hunt, officers were able to locate the suspect, who appeared to be highly intoxicated.
